My role involves me to look after the children and be counted in to the room ratio for the children to staff. I am required to be patient and nurturing. I have to plan and implement activities with the children, write up observations on my key children and ensure the needs of the child are met. I am required to have a good relationship with parents and other members of staff.
Yes. I have learnt how to better manage my time and have also learnt a lot of work on key theorists which helps me in my day to day practice at the nursery.
I enjoy the satisfaction of watching my progress bar going up, knowing I’m that step closer to qualifying as a level 3 practitioner.
My programme is organised well with monthly check ins with my tutor and reviews to ensure I am where I should be.
My employer is always there to help me out when I need it. They maintain a good relationship with me and give me the resources that I need to carry out my assignments
My training provider gives me lots of support and let’s me know that they are always there if I want to message them regarding an activity that I’m struggling on. I also get monthly check ins with them.
I feel a lot more confident in my role since starting this training. I know how to carry out my job correctly and I know what to do in certain situations thanks to my monthly work shadow grids.
