My team performs control-related activities for our First Line Investment teams. My regular activities revolve around communicating with our first line to log and mitigate any risks in our public investment teams. I also support in a number of committees to produce papers and write up minutes/actions.
The main skills I have developed have been communication, reporting and overall industry knowledge.
I am very much enjoy my programme and have been lucky to be surrounded by a great support network who are willing to help with anything required.
From the start I have had a structured training plan and have been able to spend time in different teams to get a more overall understanding of our business and how it operates.
M&G have a great support network and a great people culture so anyone is approachable and are always to help the best that they can.
M&G have allocated at least 1 working day every week to work towards my qualifications and have also made it clear that if I require more time then they are happy to allocate what I require.
My qualification has been helpful in that it has given me broader knowledge in my role and has influenced decisions and helped me develop.
I have been to a number of networking and social events that have helped me to gain more connections in the industry.
