  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day to day role varies but normally includes the stock management of our department; making sure all parts are counted. Another role is dealing with new stock which hasn't been 'housed' before so my day to day role includes finding new locations. I also have more customer focused roles, this involves dealing with customers over the counter and dealing with internal customers such as the service department.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many skills such as the use of software where the parts department use to boom parts out and invoicing customers orders. In addition to learning new skills, I have developed my engineering skills; so know I'm able to locate parts on an engine which I didn't have a clue on. I have also developed my customer skills so I know can deal with various customers who require different needs.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At the moment, I can't say. Not that it's required but it would be great fun. For example, a social activity such as Go-Karting would be great as it would get all colleagues to cool down and get competitive on the track. I believe something like this would be beneficial especially to great a strong relationship with the business and it's employees.
