  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In 2021 I was presented with the chance of managing the parts teams at Hull and York. This still involved day to day work of managing customer accounts and finding new business. With the added role I am also responsible for leading and managing the Hull Team including the Sales Centre and York Parts Sales Teams in order to drive forward and maximize all parts sales opportunities, including ‘add on’/ associated sales, walk in opportunities and workshop sales. To ensure that the department is adequately staffed at all times (including ‘out of hours’ and weekend callout) providing a consistently high standard of service to telephone, service, e-mail and front counter customers. Ensure that all inbound telephone front counter enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently, and outstanding enquiries are followed up within the hour and that a schedule of outbound call actions is agreed, allocated, monitored and reported on. Working closely with the Business Development and Fleet Sales Centre teams. Ensure the service counter is proactively managed including forward planning, working with the service team to ensure VOR time is minimized and sales/margins maximized. Ensure purchasing, housekeeping, van runs and other parts management activities are carried out as required.
