  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day to day role would be to answer calls from customers and our other daf dealers helping them to recieve and send parts efficiently around the region. I would also pick and put away parts and serve the technicians on the back counter allowing them to cpmplete jobs in the workshop.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • At the begining of my programme i dont belive it was organised as well as it coudlve been as the workplace wasnt prepared for me when i started which left me feeling awkward. After speaking to my manager i learned they was not aware they were getting more staff. However after they got to grips with things the workplace had alot of things palnned for me over the year.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • At the begin of my programme I needed additional support so my employer and manager put me on back counter so the technicians could help me. Whenever i need support from my employer all i need to do is ask the question and they always help me so i can do my job as effecient and quickly as possible.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • During my training as an apprentice i would often have to complete modules weekly. However i began to fall behind on them as i started to go deeper into my job and things started to get busier. Fortunately, i was able to ask my manager for help and he put me into a room alone once a week which enabled me to catch up on work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

  • While working for the company I have seen a few activities to take part in such as Running, cycling, and work ceremonies such as reward nights. I have also heard of a 5 a side football team that a few guys at work set up on there own. I have attended bowling with many other apprentices which was a friendly excercise.
