  • Managing procurement and responsible business policies. Ensuring procurement is undertaken ethically and in line with governance and compliance requriements.

  • The apprenticeship has improved my self reflection skills, and developed my strategic skills improving my confience.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It has been very challenging and enjoyable. The lectures were good, and even though the majority were delivered remotely due to covid, provided great networking within the cohort.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The course was well organised and communicated, with an introduction guide provided for each module along with recommended reading. This helped me to understand the requirements and structure my time to suit.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Both my line manager and unit director were very supportive. They encouraged my learning and facilitated the necessary experience to make the apprenticeship a success.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support was good, with plenty of guidance documentation available.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification has supported both my understanding of the theories related to the practices involved. By having the external recognition of my abilities it has also helped build my confidence.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Through the company there are various social and professional networking events available. These include the ability to network with other staff undertaking or having completed apprenticeships.

  • Yes

  • As an employer they look to help their staff develop and progress. They are also an ethical and responsible company.

  • Go for it! Make sure you understand how your skills and experience align with the role you are applying for, and have a clear view as to what you want to achieve.
