  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As a main role, I serve the technicians and mechanics in our workshop; ordering or giving them the parts that they require for the job they are doing. This can range from small bolt and sealing plugs, to much larger items, such as radiators.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have massively developed a large variety of skills and attributes that will help me in the future. Personaloly, I believe that the skill/attribute that has improved the most is my general confidence in myself to speak to customers or colleagues, to get them parts or for help

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The camaraderie between the technicians and myself is a big contributin factor as to how much i have enjoyed the programme. Every technician is happy to help me with finding what they need and are also open to just chatting about anything and are rarely judgmental

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Fairly well, though I think my answers for this may be a bit short due to Covid having played a factor in the year. This would most likely be higher in a normal apprenticeship term, but it was all still easy to understand and get through

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I had more than enough support from my employer as it was obvious at many points during the apprenticeship that I was struggling to keep up mentally

    9/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • This answer would be much different if Covid hadn't intervened, but [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was still very helpful with guidance in accordance to what work I had done.

    7/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Very much so! I believe that, inside or outside of my job, the qualification will help me with any different task I put myself up to; either with knowledge on a topic or improved skills

    8/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not really, no. but i could come up with some! Football, Robot Combat, Generic sports events (tennis, bowling, etc.). We do have an occasional bake sale, but thats about it

    2/10
