  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role on a day to day basis generally tends to involves minute taking, organising meetings, diary scheduling, checking the team inbox as well as my own and replying to any queries, and uploading news articles on to our website and sharing them on social media platforms, such as Twitter.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned a variety of new skills since starting within Health Education England. I now minute take regularly and learned tips and tricks through online courses. I have also learned about project management and time, resource and priority management through online training courses which has increased my skill set.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my L3 Business Administration programme as I find there are a range of modules, some which I had never learned about before, so helps me to learn new things. I also find I have great support from my tutor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] who is always willing to help me out.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme has definitely been well structured and organised. I am able to have one day per week dedicated as my apprenticeship day (off the job hours), meaning I can focus on completing my work to a high standard and get it completed within the time frame set for me.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I get a lot of support from my employer as I am able to have dedicated time to complete my apprenticeship, I’m able to turn to them if I have any queries and they have also helped me to find a permanent role within HEE after my apprenticeship is complete.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I get a lot of support from both my employer and my apprenticeship tutor/training provider whilst working towards my Level 3 Business Administration qualification. I am always able to ask questions, check anything I am unsure of and contact any time to ensure I understand everything in my workload.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My apprenticeship had definitely helped me to perform better in my role as it has gave me an understanding on a variety of topics such as PESTLE, budget management, e-safety, organisation policies and professionalism. These are skills I can take to future roles and apply in a variety of circumstances.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are multiple extra curricular activities to get involved in at work. We have a variety of networks where people with similar interests, backgrounds etc can meet up and discuss certain topics. We also try to plan monthly team days in the office for NW summer days to get together.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Health Education England to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Paragon as the training has been smooth, easy to follow, insightful and a positive learning experience. I have learned new skills by completing modules each month, felt confident opening up to my tutor and getting help where necessary, and enjoyed being able to gain a new qualification.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Health Education England?
  • My advice would be to not let anything hold you back and if you are willing to learn and put the time in, you will get the result you want. I would ensure there is definitely time aside for you to complete the work and to a high standard also.
