  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed the work within my team a lot. I have learned so much and have taken advantage of such great opportunities. This has allowed me to figure out areas I enjoy and areas where I succeed compared to areas I do not enjoy as much and areas I need to improve on.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My work life is very well structured, my manager and my team always make sure to include me in tasks they are part of. On the other hand my apprenticeship is now the best. At the start of recruitment the apprenticeship work had a brilliant lade out structure of when we will be having meetings and discussions as an apprentice cohort, but this never happened. After we had been at the company for around three months the apprentices got left in the dark by the apprenticeship manager and we did not go ahead with the calls that were originally supposed to happen.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive all of the support I need from my manager, my team, my skills coach and my fellow apprentices. However my apprentice scheme manager is very busy so therefor I lack her support a little bit.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider is great. They always answer questions quickly regarding my qualification and they have also made it very clear that if I need anything regarding my qualification they are more than happy to help.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that my qualification is not the most specific to my role but it does give me a chance to explain and play back tasks I have done within my team.

    7/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many extra-curricular activities for me to get involved in, however I think more of these are for apprentices down south in London as they have a lot more opportunity compared to the Scottish Apprentices.

  • 9a. Would you recommend M&G to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend M&G to a friend as the company is so welcoming since the day I started. M&G has such a great corporate culture. I would recommend an apprenticeship as it gives great real life experience of working within financial services.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to M&G?
  • Be yourself from day one Do research on your role when applying Believe in yourself Prepare for all interviews
