  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • This is slightly difficult to answer, I have only been on the Programme with Learning Skills Partnership for the last 2/3 + months was previously with Geason until the funding got withdrawn. The Induction process was straight forward, seemed to take a while to process before actually got stated and had first session with Mentor / Tutor. Since then I have been given a few Assignents to start / complete as some I had previoulsly started with Geasons, The Assignments breifs seem to be orgranised and set out well and understandable, better than how some of Geasons were. Based on the two weeks completing unit 1, The support and advice from Mentor / Tutor and the team has been good very helpful.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The last two weeks completing Unit 1 working towards completeing my qualification was good. The Support I recieved from Tutor / Advisor was good, helpful and gave guidance with problems. The general attitiude in supporting me is good, good to meet the Tutor / advisor face to face rather that just over a call. Completed Unit 1 and diccussed what to do / start next for the next assignment and said any problems just send a message, but will be in contact within the coming weeks for a catch up and run the assignment and give support.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • As previously said in another question, not really had many sessions with my current provider apart the last two weeks block. By completing the qualification throught the training provider helps. What I learn by completing the assignments gives a better insight to the construction processes, whats happenes before construction work commences, what different roles are invloved. What I learn from from apprenticeship does help with some of things I carry out on a daily basis this could be to improve the way something is carried out or could have learned a better way.
