    7/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt some skills though not as much as I expected or would have liked, the college section of the apprenticeship was not great for developing practical skills

    5/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the people I work with and the work can be rewarding at times but also frustrating that I am not being given the in work support/encouragement that I need

    6/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The college side of things is well organised but inside my department the organisation for apprentices is very very poor

    6/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Some support is given via the early careers team but my department is lacking internal support

    4/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The college and WBLMs are great at providing support and information to complete the qualifications

    9/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification is not specifically tailored to the role and my role is quite different from a lot of the other apprentices and makes a lot of the college side non-applicable to what I do on a daily basis

    4/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I haven’t seen invitations to any other than helping the early careers team

    2/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend JLR to a friend?
  • No

  • 9b. Why?
  • Lack of support, poor communication in the company and frustrating practices throughout

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLR?
  • Make sure you are timely and well presented during interviews, try to show your strengths, key points are working solo and working in a team. There is a practical interview also so be prepared for that.
