  • Working together with a variety of departments gaining evidence of work for passing the apprenticeship

  • Yes throughout my apprenticeship i have been in a variety of areas such as design and materials testing learning the skills used in each department.

  • The work in general is intresting and you are able to use some great equipment

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • As the apprenticeship has gone on it is getting better how ever at some of the earlier points the organisation of it was not up to my expected standard

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Everyone in the company is more than happy to support you in most things, we also have an "apprentice development leader" who is there to help with any apprentice shop related issues we have.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Our training provider MakeUK does support you and ensure that you have what you need however, sometimes the organisation skills of the company doesn't seem that good.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Completing the Theoretical side of my qualification in my second year really helped gain an understanding on how all areas of the company work even the ones i am not involved with. For example i now know how different machining processes work.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Rolls-Royce to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Overall i have loved working there and feel i have set myself up to be ahead of most people my age by doing an apprenticeship with them. I also feel like a valued member of a team when working and in general enjoy what i do.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Rolls-Royce?
  • I would say the main thing is setting yourself apart and taking that extra step to make yourself stand out.
