  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have really enjoyed the apprenticeship, as it has provided me with the skills and knowledge but also encouraged the development of my behaviours to expedite the newly taught skills. I have been able to develop my own working role, expand my network and meet some' like minded' people; whilst also having a fantastic Learning Facilitator who guided my through the programme and shared their wealth of experience with me.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I am a very processed driven person and the structure of the programme worked well for my own particular working preferences and learning styles. However, there are areas that could be improved within the electronic BUD system that is utilised. My apprenticeship involved the Standard and Diploma as a Level 5 and this could be confusing at times, however the facilitator was always close at hand to steer me in the correct route.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We are a national charity and my team is national based and as such we are remote workers, this does not dissolve the extra curricular activities but heightens the opportunities having social 'Yammer' groups, competitions, regular volunteering opportunities both at a national and local levels, fundraising events and celebratory events to recognise our staff and volunteer successes through the year, including our professional networking events in many areas of the healthcare settings. Sue Ryder is an amazing employer with staff and volunteers that all share the same values and behaviours.
