  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves supporting the Marketing Team with reporting, data analysis and insights (using Google Analytics, Search Ads 360 as well as Meta Business Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager). I also post to the company's social channels to promote articles from the company blog.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learned a variety of new skills, such as using Google Analytics and other reporting tools. I've also learned how to use Hootsuite to schedule posts to social channels. As well as these new skills, I have developed my Excel skills massively.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of retraining and learning new skills that I am immediately able to put into practise in my day to day role. The work is varied and I'm supported in everything I do.

  • I have structured lessons with college and am given time to complete coursework around my day to day role.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support - this is an entirely new role to me and my colleagues and manager have been really patient and have given me opportunities to ask questions and shadow when I need a deeper understanding of a task.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I'm given a lot of support from my tutor in the form of regular lessons, regular check ins and reviews. I'm also given regular tasks to complete to ensure I'm understanding the content and always receive prompt replies from emails/queries/feedback.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification has given me a much better understanding of my role - I went into this completely new to Marketing and wouldn't have been able to succeed in my role without the knowledge and skills I've developed in this course.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are Apprentice specific activities and meet ups, team/hub meet ups, parties, and volunteer days. We're also given the opportunity to work at different offices for a few days and visit different cities.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The level of support I've received has been amazing, right from the very first step of putting my application in. The recruitment team are fantastic and the opportunities for development and learning within the company are excellent. They're so supportive.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage?
  • Be yourself at interview, work with your strengths and be enthusiastic! The wonderful recruitment team will find your best fit. And once you're in Sage take full advantage of every opportunity you get!
