  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot of new skills and I am still learning all of the time. For instance, I can now identify different Incoterms on invoices and have a much better understanding of different contractual clauses. I am also working on enhancing my negotiations skills.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very well structured and my coach and tutor are both very well organised too. At the start of my apprenticeship I received a timetable of learning which has been useful to plan my time and learning. Course materials have also arrived in plenty of time.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I would be lying if I said it was easy to balance work and life commitments and study at the same time. It has been a challenge. However, through regular 121s with my manager he has been very supportive and joined all the relevant calls with my coach.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My coach has always offered his support and provides structured feedback during our calls. I know that if I need extra support, this will be provided. I have been impressed with the way that the provider actively seeks feedback and acts on this to continue to improve.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Most definitely, I would attribute the qualification that I am working towards to have supported me to perform better in my role by over 80%. The only downside is that there is not always the time to act on everything you learn straight away.
