  • Supporting the organisation to establish effective capacity management processes, maintain an overview of capacity and provide the information required to support critical business processes such as LRP & RBU. The role will implement and maintain an improved process for portfolio management. • Provide data and reports to support budget and quarterly financial updates

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • The course is helping me to learn new skills in coding and data analysis. Re-iterating the basics and cementing my existing knowledge while also developing my existing skills around data collation and presentation. The course provides training on Python and other tools which are new to me and helping me approach data in a new way.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme has been very engaging with good explanations throughout. The pace of the programme is helping to embed knowledge without being boring or repetitive and I have learnt a lot of new background that will help in my role. The different teaching and learning options have meant that the classroom sessions have been engaging

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well organised with a clear learning path way and goals for each section of the course. The introduction to the course and the trainers put in place clear expectations and timelines and the training material has meant that progress through the course has been very coherent and easy to follow.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have received support from colleagues and line managers during the course. Providing support for learning and also opportunities to practice the classroom learning in work. This has been very helpful in embedding my knowledge and giving me room to experiment and learn. Outside of my team I have also been able to work with other colleagues who have helped me utilise my learnings as well.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The trainers for the individual parts of the course are approachable and always willing to help with questions and support, this made the introduction to the course and getting settled in very easy. The mentor assigned to me has also been very supportive, easy to contact and helped greatly when I had challenges at the start of the course.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The course is already helping me to plan how I would begin to analyse data and collate it. Thinking about various options and defining a clear plan before starting. The additional tools I have available will also help me to collate data more efficiently and spend more time analysing.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a number of different clubs and also a social aspect through a membership scheme that in addition to providing sport and fitness opportunities also has more social elements and discounts to events. Support is also provided to those who want to learn additional skills for their own development.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Since joining I have been involved in new work challenges, constantly engaged and welcomed by everyone. In addition it has been a good place to develop and learn new skills with leader encouraging me to push myself and implement new ideas. I was encouraged when I expressed my wish complete the apprenticeship to develop further .


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
  • I have found that Astrazeneca truly aspires to be a great place to work with everyone willing to support each other. The culture is friendly but very focused on delivery. This creates a fast pace of change which is challenging, but can be very rewarding in terms of development and progression.
