Handling client data and account to provide the best overall experience for the wealth management client. This is a broad description because my role is quite broad. BAU involves, payments, asset transfers, trade inputting, asset subscriptions, informing them of corporate actions etc.
I have developed my diplomatic communication skills having dealth with difficult clients from time to time. I have learnt to work well under pressure and stress from financial markets and poor internal resources. Due to my apprenticeship I have amassed a vast amount of financial knowledge too
I thoroughly enjoyed the program and it has allowed me to understand the world of work whilst teaching me valuable technical information.
My previous program was very structured (18 month level 4 apprenticeship). However due to the novelty of the Degree apprenticeship program with Exeter (3 years level 6/7) it hasn't been well thought out or organized. The course felt rushed and I felt like I was constantly moving on from one module to the next, HR did not provide much support. I am still unsure what will happen if I fail an exam, some say I may not be able to get the degree whilst others say I will have to retake at my own expense. Nonetheless, the (free) content has been exceptional and at a high level, and I am forever grateful.
I do not receive enough support from HR regarding my apprenticeship a lot of questions I have asked throughout the course have received few answers. I understand that this is a new course so there is limited info available but there hasn't been any calls scheduled specifically for the degree apprenticeship cohort of 2020
I receive a lot of support from Exeter uni and the [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] my tutor. I have been guided by lecturers and tutors very well
My role is not related to what I am studying at all. Apart from learning about the rudimentary finance knowledge that everyone in banking is aware of; I have not learnt specialized knowledge pertaining to my role. So it has not helped me perform better just supplemented
