  • role involves the management of all costs relating to construction projects, keeping track of variations, analysing contractors applications for payment. make payments to contractors. prepare tender documents, contracts and other documents. this requires interaction with external contractors as well as interaction with internal project managers.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt all skills that have been required to complete my job as i ahd no prior experience. on the job training about the surveying practices backed up with university study has helped develop both my professional and personal skills

  • i have enjoyed the programme as the team and line mangers have been very supportive towards my learning giving me time to complete my studys.

  • my programme is well structured as it is clearly set out the amount of hours need to be completed and the university is well structed giving timing for activities

  • a lot of support is provided, not only from line manger but also the apprenticeship team within Thames with continuous catch ups, also supported by apprentice officers at the university

  • support is very good form the training provided, from the student support hub, programme leader, study support team and module leaders all being very accessible

  • gives you the back ground and understanding for what you are doing within your role

  • do your research not only on the role you are applying for but also look in to the organisation and it key aims and objectives
