  • My role on a dat to day basis involves in looking after children and be able to give them the care and support that I am able to give them, alongside the safeguarding of the setting. Also to allow them to achieve their best potential and be able to help them in their journey.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I had learnt various things with my apprenticeship journey, for example a more in-depth view of the different types of discrimination and how to handle these subjects with parents and the work place. I have also learnt how to work in partnership with other people and external agencies that provide support for staff and the children.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my program a lot because it is allowing me to develop my different skills and is also allowing me to learn new skills and experiences. I also like it because I am able to help the children develop their knowledge for when they are able to go forth with their education.

  • My programme is well organised and structured because there is a clear layout of all the coursework that I should be doing to develop my knowledge for work and I am able able to see my improvement and pace. It is also well organised and structured as I am able to get help from my tutor alongside members of staff.

  • I am able to contact my employer when I need help or have a doubt about something and I will get the help that I need without any trouble. The support that I get from my employer is very well as they allow how to express my opinion and guide me to the right path.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support that I receive from my training provider when working towards my qualification is very good because I am able to email them with any concern that I have and we are also able to have monthly meetings where we discuss nexts month’s assessments and also how our work is going.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel very good about my qualification and the help that I am getting through my training provider and how it makes me perform better in my day to day work role because I am getting and better and more detailed insite in specific things Mo they which is able to allow me to fully focus on specific factors.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We do quite a bit of extra curricular activities at the nursery, however, the one that most people like is the fund raising event that we do when parents and staff members are able to work together to come up with a food basket for a chosen local home care.

  • I would recommend Little engineers nursery to a friend because as a staff member I am able to see the heartfelt and consistent work that goes behind with the day to day routine and also by helping the children and parents work together to let them have a better and healthy future.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Little Engineers Nursery?
  • Some tips and advice I would give to someone that is applying to Little Engineers Nursery would be to be able to create a relation with the staff members and also the key person that is assigned to their child. This is because it would be allow them to feel part of a small family and also that they know that their child is in safe hands and they are able to ask any questions.
