  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role includes many different tasks, from contacting learners to conduct surveys and pastoral calls to ensure that learners are happy with their experience. I also deal with account management, making sure that employers are happy and up to date with their learners progress as well as the on boarding of new learners.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Before starting my apprenticeship and my role I had never worked in an office setting. I had retail and customer service experience which i was able to transfer to my new role. Since starting my apprenticeship i have learnt how to assist in the day to day administration of the business, account management as well as more sector specific skills

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My Business Administration apprenticeship was incredibly helpful and rewarding. The training provided was to a high standard and the sessions with trainers were fun and informative. I enjoyed the monthly 1 to 1 sessions with my trainer as this gave me the chance to touch upon any areas i felt needed to be addressed. I enjoyed learning new skills and being able to apply them in the workplace.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The course is well structured with a detailed road map of the qualification provided at the start of the course. the modules were well explained and had a good flow to them. The monthly catch up sessions were planned in advance and were spread out well throughout the course. All modules were clearly laid out on the GLP website.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer was incredibly supportive and made sure i had the time necessary to complete all work and attend sessions. If there were every any issues my line manager was in contact with my trainer and would have regular updates on my progress. My line manager worked with me every step of the way throughout my apprenticeship

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Over the course of my qualification I received monthly visits from my trainer. Contact was great and they would respond to any questions I had quickly. My trainer was very knowledgeable and was able to help work through several of the work books with me to ensure my work was completed to a high standard. No matter what the issue was I knew I could contact either my trainer or the GLP office and this would be sorted quickly.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • without this qualification i would not be able to do my job. The qualification gave me all the skills I needed to succeed, as well as other valuable skills. GLP Training went above and beyond to make sure my learner journey was a successful one and that I had everything I needed to pass my apprenticeship.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • (this has not happened recently due to covid, but normally we would have a company conference to come together to celebrate our success and discuss the future as well as a large end of year party for all staff to celebrate.

  • 9a. Would you recommend GLP Training to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • GLP Training is dedicated to its learners. They want apprentices to get the most out of their qualifications and progress through the workforce. They have dedicated teams to make sure that everything the apprentice receives is relevant to their job and their course, as well as providing pastoral support and monthly one to one sessions with their trainer so you feel fully supported throughout the journey.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to GLP Training?
  • GLP Training are an incredible provider who want the best for their learners. If you go on course with the attitude that you want to learn, better yourself and progress your career then GLP Training will ensure that you achieve that.
