  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a Traineeship recruiter. It is my responsibility to offer Information, Advice and Guidance to prospective learners. I contact applicants using various methods and provide assistance in making informed choices about their options. I use our CRM platform to create learner records and enrol them onto our programmes. I work closely with other members of my team to ensure collaboration.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • My role involves recruitment and IAG via telephone. Having previously worked doing face to face recruitment/IAG I have adapted to a different method of working. I learned how to use a new CRM platform and how to talk the customers through the process. I have also developed my of tone of voice/language used to ensure a positive and friendly service.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Its brilliant. I've never been a very good student, learning isn't something that comes natural to me. But the help and support that has been offered is second to none. My assessor is really helpful. Its the first time I've ever really enjoyed learning. So my experience definitely is making my job easier!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised. When assignments are set the requirements are clearly identified and timescales for completion are given. I attend training sessions to help me with learning and these are always delivered to a very high standard. The smart assessor platform is utilised very well and it is always up to date with everything I need.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Just the right amount. I feel my employer really understands my way of learning, I prefer to ask for help when I need it. Whenever I do need any support it is always offered quickly and I know that when I need it I don't have to wait. There's always someone on hand to help.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support i've been offered is excellent. I have monthly check-ins with my assessor, if I ever need support outside of this I am able to make contact with her to chat. The learning resources and materials are really helpful and easily accessible. Instructions for my assignments are always given in detail.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My role is customer focussed and as such means my performance relies heavily on the customer service I provide. The qualification is providing me with the opportunity to develop my techniques and ways of adapting my approach. This in turn means i can deliver a very high level of customer service.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At the moment this is limited due to COVID but I am aware their are events in the pipeline for us to get together. We have weekly afternoon teas that are themed which is a good opportunity to get to meet colleagues from different departments. There are clubs you can join too.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The experience for me has been really good. The training provider has really good ethics and the support they offer is just amazing. I always feel listened to and accepted. The quality of the training is second to none. My assessor is great. I feel that I am learning and developing which is ultimately what you want out of an apprenticeship!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to LMP Group?
  • Do it! Be honest and up front about what you want and need. Make sure your CV is up to date. Call them when you apply, it shows enthusiasm and will demonstrate how interested you are. Don't feel intimidated, they really want to help anyone they can. Even if you're not sure what you want to do, just give them a call and they will help you!
