The role of customer service advisor is mainly to manage communications between customer and internal staff. Here at Rugby borough council the staff within the contact center can handle a vast amount of queries and partake in regular training in order to keep knowledge up to date. The main responsibilities of a customer service advisor include answering inbound calls and either dealing with the enquiry or directing the call to the relevant department/person. We interact with current and potential customers every day, whether this be over the phone, face to face or via email and we work towards providing the highest quality of service for these clients.
I have fine-tuned many existing skills such as communication, business writing, excel and other specialist systems. I have also learned many new skills and been on training courses like: Safeguarding Conversations with vulnerable people GDPR Adapting to change in the workplace
I have enjoyed working with new people, the college work I have done alongside has also been enjoyable. Although, I have found it confusing at times and struggled to get certain things clarified.

I have received a lot of support from my employer!
I have received so much support from my assessors. Although there have been some issues and confusion they have ALWAYS tried their best to assist me and help me to understand something I was struggling with.
My qualification has helped me to understand business processes a lot better
Not really, although I have become close with those I work with and we do sometimes do things out of office such as staff meals/drinks. Obviously this past year of covid has stopped all of that.
Yes
