supporting my line manager in her daily activities, checking in with her and the rest of the team, contacting our customers if necessary, continue work on ongoing projects and connect with internals who are related to said project for instance contacting one of our team members Laura on a export matrix project
during my time at Unilever I have learned various skills such as the use of the salesforce system through weekly internal training courses and also some external ones on the Trailhead website which is run by salesforce themselves. Learning all about the system allows me to use it effectively in my role which altogether helps the team.
I enjoy my programme quite a lot. I find it very interesting being in the international branch of the Unilever business, as it allows me to interact with people from many varied backgrounds and culture. One day I can be speaking to a customer in turkey and then on another talking with a team member from singapore
I would say that my programme is well structured at current, however the start of the programme was not as smooth. The start of my programme was a little weird to say the least. My line manager was very busy and basically had little time to connect and mentor me. But now everything has smoothed out with a new line manager who is much more available and mentors me well.
My current line manager is very supportive having at least two one to ones with me a week where we can catch up, talk and see where my projects are at. We also have weekly meeting with the wider team where we go over our entire teams projects and pass around ideas and also see if people need support on things
My work coach at Multiverse is super supportive always reaching out to me when I have a request or ask for advice. She always gives me good advice and will go through my projects with me and let me know if theres anything I could improve. She also has a good understanding of mental health.
Multiverse allows me to perform effectively in my role at Unilever. We have near monthly masterclasses where we are given a seminar on a topic that has a relation to a upcoming project. These masterclasses also give me insight to the workings of businesses and how to be effective in my role
My branch of Unilever, Unilever International is a tightly knit group of people who have regular social events to keep everyone close to each other ranging from virtual pubs, quizzes and even virtual escape rooms. Due to covid all socials are online but I have been told that usually we have many in person events.
Yes
Unilever is a company that actually cares about the planet, impact, purpose and its employees. Unilever is a company that strives to be sustainable in its work and do more good than harm. Unilever is filled with people from all backgrounds being a diverse place to work and learn about people
I felt that it was important to know what you are applying to. Know the Unilever brands, the heads of the company, what the company stands for. Don't pretend to know everything; Unilever love questions (no question is stupid) and people who show willingness to grow. Also have fun.
