Assisting my boss in all tasks. Including chasing out walls, running cables, second fixing, cleaning and labouring.
Terminating cables, using hand tools and power tools and information about testing electrical instalations.
I am enjoying learning the technical (scientific) side of electrical installation and working on sites rather than at a desk in an office.
My programme is well structured with targets and deadlines to keep the process moving along.
My employer supports my learning process and encourages my to research in spare time.
My training provider supports our learning process by making sure all class members are keeping up with each other. They also provide extra information to assist future learning.
Working in the workshop gives me a chance to practice and develop my practical skills. Learning the science behind the electrical installations helps me understand what the tests I'm doing on installations actually mean.
There is an annual meal that happens. The boss uses this as an opportunity to thank the employees.
