  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • my role in my work shop is to preform cleaning tasks like sweeping the floor and mopping the floor. also I make sure all bin are taken out but my main role is to repair and fix cars a range of different car such as Porsches, but as i a apprentice I offend work with someone helping them and them teaching and show how to do different tasks

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed a range of new skill in this role such as how to uses different tools and equipment. I've also developed skill on what to do when thing don't go to plan and the best and quickest way to sort the problem in different cases in the workshop

  • I have enjoy my time at my workshop I've enjoy the people I've worked with the people I've meet though working here and the cars that I get to see and work on though my time and look forward to do it more and more as time goes on

  • my program is fairly well planned our lesson are with structured and Clive preform the lesson out very well our programmed is fairly cleanly told to us so we know how thing show play out though our time on this program. so overall our program is well structured and organised

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • my employer is okay at supporting me though out my time learning how this carrier and showing me and making in to the best mechanic I can be in the coming years they show how the workshop is run and how everything should be in the workshop and help choose the best tools to buy to do the job right

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a really good amount of support from my training provider towards my qualification. this support is shown though email and phones call as when I need help doing task at home and though the time I spend in the college as well and the lesson i have show all the bit i need to know

  • i feel that my qualification (through your training provider) helps me to perform better in your role because it shows all the possible thing that could happen when in my role such as the problem i could have working on cars and the problem with tool used and equipment that could be used in the workshop

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • as we are fairly friend in the work shop i have met up and help some of my co worker in our free time out side of work to do different thing such as have a drink or work on cars out side of work hours. and has been very enjoyable

  • Yes

  • i would recommend Chichester College to a friend because they are a good college to addended to for motor vehicle subjects and support getting though the courses and they help with getting you employed as the carrier you wish to do and have study for the last few years at college


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Chichester College?
  • i would advice that student have an idea of what they want to do before starting or that they talk to a member of staff for help deciding what they would be best and enjoy doing as it the job you could be doing for the rest of your life
