My role consists of assisting the dentist at chair side and carry out reception duties. I ensured CQC requirements were met, understood decontamination and infection control, updated patient records and managed the dental bookings on the Exact system. I possess a general interest in the welfare of patients and enjoy gaining a positive and friendly relation with them.
I have learnt the roles and responsibilities of a dental nurse.
I enjoy learning and gaining more experience and skills through my job, my coursework helps me to perform in the practice.
We have monthly meeting with my assessor and my practice I work at are involved with my course ensuring I have the right support.
They are very helpful and encourage me to push myself.
They teach me a lot, we have monthly meeting, and interact via zoom.
