  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel like the structure an organisation of the programme from Kaplan is poor. From the induction to completing my portfolio I have had little help, support of guidance. On several occasions I have been given the wrong information and have had several talent coaches throughout the year leading to inconsistencies. I feel like the talent coaches have little knowledge of the job I do or AAT and are unable to guide me in showcasing my vast knowledge and experience I have gained in my role through my employer. There is a lack of communication and I feel like I am always chasing them to complete admin tasks.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a huge amount of support from employer, this comes from my manager and mentor, the learning and development team within HR and my team. I am well supported in my current role as well as being given lots of opportunities to learn and grow. They are considerate of the time I need to allocate towards my apprenticeship as well the time I need to study and sit exams.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel like the tutors and the classes I have take in relation to my AAT qualification has been very good. The tutors are very knowledgeable and deliver the material in a fantastic way. The study material provided is very good, and I know where to find information and who to go to with any queries. The same cannot be said for the apprenticeship side of things and my talent coach.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • During my first year of AAT I feel like the modules relate very well to my current role. They have given me and understanding of why I do things a certain way within my role. I have gained knowledge of double entry book keeping, how to classify things within finance and they use of a nominal ledger. All of this allows me to take on additional tasks at work
