  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I take care of the Admin part of customer sales. This includes Filing and archiving as well as making up customer packs. I also set up roadside assistance on a daily basis as well as deal with VMC queries and producing autochecks. To finish off the day I call the sales team to make sure they've received everything they are due and I call it a day.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I don't feel that my qualification helped perform better in my role, but it did give me more of an insight in the business sector and It made me realize that there might be other business departments that I might want a job role in. It would be more helpful in the future for the qualification to be more personalized for the job role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are no extra curricular activities or social activities at my workplace. The only event we have is the yearly company dinner which gives us a chance to meet other employees from different branches. Due to the pandemic there hasn't been any events what so ever and we haven't had a chance to interact face to face with other colleges.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The experience I have gained at Currie Motors in such a short amount of time is immense and is much more than I had expected. The best thing about this is that you are supported all the way throughout your time here. There has not been a single time where I have not been supported with anything in the apprenticeship and be able to get so much experience.

  • If you want to apply for Currie Motors, I would make sure that it is something that you want to do. You need to have the drive to be able to learn, improve yourself and work hard. Don't worry about not having a lot of technical knowledge. You will be guided throughout the apprenticeship to learn everything that you need to learn.
