  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My current role in this job is parts advisor. I supply parts to customers for DAF trucks and Ford vehicles. We also supply other vehicle makes, however, it's mainly ford and DAF. In my role, I am also asked to sort some of the paperwork for the company

  • I am always learning and developing new skills. I am currently focused on learning more about how the company runs and using that to my advantage

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I haven't really been on this programme long. Just a few months but I have learned a lot more about my company that I didn't know before. I am enjoying this apprenticeship so far and I look forward to more

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • So far, it has been very well structured. The tutor checks in with you quite often and always gives advice and tips to help you with the programme and help you with your work life in general.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have just got a new manager the other week due to the previous one retiring. But, my old manager offered all the support he could so that was very helpful. I have not had chance to talk in detail with the new manager yet.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have all the support I need and more. There is a lot of support provided to help me achieve the qualification. My tutor has always picked up when I've called and she seems interested in helping me get the qualification

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • This qualification would give me and advantage in my current role as I would have a bit more control over the department in regards to paperwork and how the business works. I do look to take this qualification and continue progressing though.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Recently, there has only been activities such as competitions of who can clock the most kilometres walked in a month. Due to COVID, we have been unable to do many trips and local get togethers.

  • 9a. Would you recommend MOTUS Commercials to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They give you all the support you require to help you achieve the qualification. It's a well known company too so it can be trusted


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MOTUS Commercials?
  • Do not sign up for an apprenticeship unless you are 100% about wanting the qualification and wanting to do the work. It's important that you help the company in order for them to help you achieve what you want.
