  • In a quality function supporting a sterile manufacturing facility who manufacturing a prostrate and breast cancer medicine. Job responsibilities below; To ensure an effective microbiological, particle and physical monitoring programme is established and maintained. To provide technical advice with respect to clean room standards and advice on clean room discipline, good aseptic practice, associated cGMPs, and their impact on procedures/manufacture. Deviation management. To assist in major failure investigations ensuring recommendations for product disposition are made and documented. To provide training and coaching of personnel. Perform MSDM documentation updates. Self-inspections and observations. Batch review. OCM Change control management To ensure an effective aseptic gowning and Operator Media Trial programme is established and maintained To ensure high environmental standards are maintained in production and/or QC testing in clean rooms. To participate in regulatory and internal audits and inspections. Contribute to the preparation of regulatory submissions

  • Educated to degree level, deviation/CAPA manager, problem solving techniques. How to be organised and prioritise workload. How to work cross functionally and work in a fast paced environment. Leadership and coaching skills. Assessor trained and PST trained

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Relatable degree allows to understand how drugs work etc, gives you the underpinning knowledge. Enjoyed working with a team and lots of professionals. Allowed me to change as person and become more confident in being a professional myself. Established career within Astrazeneca. Exceeded my expectations and thoroughly enjoy my work.

  • Well organised regular check in sessions however are left to own devices.

  • Get supported whenever its needed from manager if more time etc needed. Always happy to support.

  • Monthly check ins with advisor. Escalate through those meetings if any further support is needed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Some relevance to the role, it would be better if you could have more choices with the optional units to make it even more relevant to the role they are doing. There's some modules that aren't entirely relevant to certain jobs. Needs more customisation

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Plenty of social events such as night outs and work night outs. Football sessions weekly. Never attended any networking events.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Such a great place to work which values everyone's development. Has allowed me to have a career and meet some friends for life. I've also gained a really good salary which has allowed me to afford a house mortgage and lifestyle which i want to have. AZ has allowed me to learn so many new skills and develop as a person


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
  • Be ambitious, will allow you to bring out the qualities which AstraZeneca want you to see. Do research into the business and understand what they do. Be confident when applying and ensure you do lots of preparation therefore you can come across as confident. Asking lots of questions is a good tip as it shows you are really interesting and willing to learn and curious.
