My role is to book in any goods or products that I receive from manufacturers or different branches. I also make sure that all the stock is put away neat and tidy and that the warehouse is clear. I also have to answer the phone when needed to and serve customers on the counter
I have learnt a few new skills. I’ve learnt how to speed up how I do my job but not rush things and make mistakes. I have also learnt how to speak to people better over the phone and not come across rude. I have developed my knowledge of computers a bit as I use them a lot on the job.
I enjoy the programme quite a bit. It’s helped me improve my self in different areas. There hasn’t been a time where I have wanted to stop or a time where it has got overly boring. This programme has also gave me nearly everything to succeed in the future
The programme is organised well. I know exactly what I have to do and when I have to do it for. I was given all the modules and everything from the beginning so I knew what to do. My meetings booked in monthly and happened without fail unless I cancelled or moved it due to different reasons.
I received quite a bit of support from my employer. Any time I needed for meetings or coursework I was given. I was also being asked how I was getting on with coursework, being shown how to do thing last on the job etc. The only thing I would want a little more of or for the to improve on is allowing me to research the products more.
I received a lot of from LSP. They gave me everything I needed such as the modules, guides of what the question wanted to know, help whenever I needed it. My tutor was extremely helpful every meeting. He would go through the different modules and explain what each one meant. They were also quick at replying back to my questions and in general just amazing!
My qualification helps me perform better because I know what to do if a situation comes up that I have been through on my qualification. It also helps me because if there is something I’m not sure on or someone else isn’t to sure on I can look back on my training and see how to handle it.
We don’t have a sports team or anything like that but we do have a work group chat that is really good. We set it up during the first lockdown (March 2020) to keep in touch as only two of us were working. I thought this was good as I was new and I still could get to know the guys and be some part of the team properly.
Yes
It’s is a good company to work for, the people you work with are a laugh and you can joke around with them. The work isn’t overly hard but you aren’t just sat around all day which is good and the company do take you away on days out though out the year.
One bit of advice is that the pay isn’t great and sometimes it does get a bit repetitive and boring but you do get days that are different and something new happens. Another tip is to not expect to come in and know every product and name as everything has multiple names that people use.
