  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role as an admin apprentice involves a large amount of varied content. I usually start the day prepping for any meetings that are planned for the day and sorting emails, I will then take minutes for meetings as-well as co-ordinate for the project being carried out.

  • I have learnt how to communicate across different levels of leadership, I have developed a further understanding of the background behind projects and the frame work needed to be used to ensure timescales are met.

  • The programme that I have carried out has being very enjoyable and enabled me to understand a wide variety of skills and learning over the past 12 months.

  • The programme has being very well organised and structured and throughout I have had a full understanding of what the next steps are to completion.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Over the last 12 I have received a large amount of support from my employer aswell as managers and other colleagues, they have supported me through my apprenticeship programme aswell as my work.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support from my training o provider to work towards my qualification, my tutor has gone above and beyond to ensure that I complete my apprenticeship by the deadline even during COVID restrictions.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification I have completed has helped me gain a understanding of what a wider admin role carries out and has helped me gain an understanding of how each role varies due to their job.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of things to get involved in within leeds city council, to ensure that we was obeying by the COVID restriction all these events are now carried out over MS Teams, Skype or Zoom.
