My day to day role is to provide excellent customer service to customers travelling all over the world. I check in customers, board flights and meet arrivals. Also for my apprenticeship I have many workshops for all my training which helped me to gain my qualification in completing my apprenticeship.
In my apprenticeship I have gained many different skills along the way throughout my training. I have gained the ability to use positive language and always understanding which body tone to use. I have also improved on my time management skills working day to day with various job tasks with set conformance time.
I have enjoyed the whole experience of my apprenticeship programme with all the support from my fellow colleagues and apprenticeship management team including outsource. I have gained a lot more confidence within my job role which is down to meeting new people every single day swell as coming across different challenges in every situation.
Due to the current circumstance with Covid19 my apprenticeship programme has been very well organised/structured with everything being taught online. Our teacher Sophie has been a great support from the start and always ensured we are on top of all our work so that we don't get behind on anything.
British Airways has given us apprentices a huge amount of support throughout our apprenticeship giving us lots of different opportunities to help expand on our experience in the aviation industry. My management team have always been a massive help with any issues I have come across and reassured me that I am doing my job role correctly.
I have had full support from my training provider outsource with Sophie always keeping in touch with us, making sure we are on top of everything and always helping us to complete all our work to the best of our ability to help us gain our qualification at the end of our apprenticeship.
My qualification has helped me a lot in my job role giving me the extra experience throughout the aviation industry learning in depth knowledge about various different skills. My qualification is going to be a big help in the future when I go for cabin crew at British Airways as t will show my strengths and knowledge of aviation.
Due to the current circumstances there has not been many extra curricular activities which we could get involved with
Yes
I would 100% recommend my apprenticeship programme at British Airways to a friend as it has been one of the best experiences in my life and has given me such a big opportunity and help of working in the aviation industry in the future when I decide to work my way up to a higher department.
Any advice I would give to anyone want to apply to British Airways is to be prepared for the shift work as it does play a big priority in your life ensuring your sleep pattern is always strong. Also to not be afraid about coming into such a big company as you will have full support the whole way from the training providers and employer.
