  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • A sales support works closely with FA's providing them with support for any queries or help they may need. I look after an adviser support mailbox which I then point them in the right direction of the person they are looking for as well as many other daily tasks.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I cant fault the structure/ Organisation skills of the programme at all it has been great and they have made working from home as good as it can be and are there for you every step of the way. My BPP coach is great and so helpful. As i detailed previously my team are also so helpful and understanding of me being an apprentice as a lot of them were also in my position.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I speak to my manger every day and she is there for me whenever i need help or support. I would say i never released how understanding and supportive the company were going to be of the struggles starting from home and do everything they can to help. On the intranet there are so many different resources for support in place which is nice to know its there if I ever need it.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I speak to my BPP coach every month for a catch up and also to speak about the next booklet which is great and you can truly tell she cares. She always asks how i am generally which is nice as sometimes it's good to speak to someone other than your team so I look forward speaking to her every month.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think that the qualification is great and I will have developed a lot of new skills and knowledge from it but I wouldn't say it relates that well to my actual job. I think both the qualification and the job are useful but necessarily very relatable to each other.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I wouldn't say i have done really any extra curricular activities which i feel like is a mix between it being my fault for not putting my self out there and also because there isn't currently anything very interesting to me to take part in. There are some apprentice meeting with all the Scotland and London apprentices which is good and i enjoy. It's a good social catch up and also has an upskilling session in it which is great.

  • 9a. Would you recommend M&G to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It's a great company to work for and I think it's the type f company you can progress your career in. I don't think I will stop after the apprenticeship I think I would like to work for M&G for a while as I also really love the culture and team spirit at M&G.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to M&G?
  • Trust the process, don't give up because it's a long interview process. It is totally worth the lengthy interview process. Keep in mind M&G obviously take care in picking who they employ which is a good thing as they obviously care about the staff they have and the quality of staff they employ.
