In my role I help my team with making changes to areas of the business. I also help my team with regular admin and business as usual tasks like managing the team mailbox. I have started to take more responsibility when helping assess the risk and benefits of different changes and in also taking a more active roll on calls.
I have learnt and developed many skills since joining the Apprenticeship Scheme. I have developed my communication skills as I am required to communicate with many different people in different ways e.g. email, calls etc. I have developed my confidence whilst working and my time management skills have also got better.
I really enjoy my programme as I have the opportunity to gain on the job skills and experience whilst also studying towards a qualification that will help me in the future. I am gaining so much experience from this programme and I'm enjoying it all. I am getting opportunities to help make decisions and have discussions with different areas of the business.
My programme is very well structured to organised. I have one task book every month with lots of interesting tasks and also a project spanning across three task books. I have 7 hours a week to work on these task books which works out to be one full day for me. This one day a week is very helpful with completing my tasks on time.
I receive a lot of support from 1 to 1s with my manager to extra curricular activities to join to help cope through lock down to Upskilling sessions with the Apprenticeship scheme manager. Above all of this, whenever I need help with anything to do with work or not my team, manager and apprentice community are always there to help.
I receive a lot of support from my training provide, BPP. Whenever a new task book is sent out, my apprenticeship leader from BPP goes through the task with and I have the opportunity to ask questions. There are also regular phone reviews throughout the year to support me and check progress.
It helps me perform better in my role as the tasks include research of areas inked with my role so by completing the tasks I have gained knowledge of topics that help me with my role. Other tasks develop confidence and communication. One of my tasks was doing a presentation which definitely improved my confidence and communication skills.
There are many different activities to get involved in. There are activities to get involved in like yoga and there are also events to take part in on different topics regarding the business with chance to ask questions. My wider Team and other teams also have different social events to take part in.
