  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is well organised and structured as a whole in general. I am given a variety of work to do that I can learn new things from the people I am paired with and the experience they share. However, I believe the organisation could be improved by ensuring the apprentices have completed a check list of jobs throughout the apprenticeship so that they are capable and confident about every aspect of the job.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support from the training provider which is south west college is excellent. Anything students are unsure of the college makes sure the student understands the content. Help is provided wherever it is needed and they are very good communicating with the students even when the learning is online at home.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualifications through the training provided are very beneficial as you can take the aspects of health and safety and hydraulics and see them in action in the work place. However, I believe there should be more specific training for each apprentice. For example, more electrical work taught in college for the electrical apprentices.

  • In the workplace there is a social club which all employees can join to receive discounts on businesses and getaway breaks at reduced price. There is a golf team developed for Encirc for employees to join. However, the social aspect has been put on hold due to the covid 19 pandemic.
