I am an apprentice fabricator/welder. Generally on a day to day basis this involves manufacturing steel beams as the drawing shows.
Yes I feel I have learnt many new skills and these skills will continue to improve as I gain more experience within my job.
As far as work goes I really dont mind it most of the time. I enjoy fabricating and get on well with most of the lads on the shop floor.
I feel as though college could be organised better as we have not been there for so many months last year and the majority of this year and are only going twice a month when we obviously have alot of work to catch up with.
i feel we are supported appropriately
I feel as though support from training provider could be improved. Mainly because we are not there enough.
I dont think it has much of an impact on my role at all.
I think they used to do 5 a side but not at the moment due to COVID
Yes
It is a good place to work once you get settled in and know what you are doing. The qualification is good to have and also many benefits like overtime etc.
If at first you don't succeed try again ;)
