  • Create and develop composite fan blades for the ultra-fan that Rolls-Royce are currently developing. this includes pre-production and assembly.

  • I have learned how to use different types of machinery such as AFP, autoclave, FARO, TRIM, and i have have developed my knowledge of composites

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my program but i feel that there isn't a lot of communication between everyone.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was very unorganised at the beginning but it has improved throughout the years but it isn't quite perfect yet.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive some support from my employer, however I receive more support from the people i work with.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I don't receive a lot of support but it has gotten better but there is a lack of communication between the training provider and the apprentices

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Yes as having an understanding of composite engineering has helped me perform better when working with composite materials

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I was part of the tough rugby in the apprentice association but due to covid there isn't any training going on. at the moment I am currently taking part in the Million Makers Awareness

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because it is a really good apprentice program and can develop into its potential to become a brilliant program if the small things get better, such as communication and having more support

  • Just give it your best and be yourself
