  • Gaining hours in various different NDT methods. As well as assisting level 3s with equivalent tasks. This involves working closely with level twos that operate NDT lines as well as working closely with level 3s.

  • I feel like mine is very well organised and structured as there is a plan in place that best allows me to complete everything that needs to be completed within my apprenticeship

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • large amount. strathclyde uni have a well structured support system that has a learning advisor assigned to each person at the start of the academic year that is there to support me as well as others as individuals so as to give us any help that is needed with the work that is given out throughout the year or give us a contact with someone else if they arent able to help themselves.

  • very well as it has taught me how to manage different projects at the same time

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • yes as far as i am aware there are lots of different extra-curricular activities available normally. obviously they arent just now because of the coronavirus pandemic

  • my friends have gone on to study similar things at university and i feel that because i am in an apprenticeship gaining the same level of degree as them that my career is going to be easier to get into as i will have had 4 years of work experience when i gain my degree as well


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Rolls-Royce?
  • to best prepare for their interview be able to work in a team along with always being able to work to the best of their ability
