  • I'm learning to be a machinist. On college block release we learn about lathes, milling machines and CNC machines as well as materials and health and safety

  • Teamwork, knowledge of subject specific skills like machining and material properties.

  • It's brilliant. Best decision I've made

  • It's well organised and has a regimented timetable accessible by us

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • They support as best they can. If we have an issue and it's raised then they will support us as much as they can

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We have access to as much support as possible and tutors are very enthusiastic in wanting to help us progress

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The training provider is based with workshops so what i learn in lessons can be applied to the workshop. At the end of the course they'll have taught me nearly everything I'll need to know for my job

  • If you want to join a social group of certain subjects like LGBTQ+ then that's ok and we have that in place. There's also various sports teams to join like football, rugby and cricket

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It's a brilliant company to work for and eventually the pay will be amazing as well as meeting some of the best people


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Rolls-Royce?
  • Have an open-mind, learn about the company as a whole and have the desire to learn the trade
