  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i enjoy learning new things and expanding my learning from my level 2, iv found it hard to sometimes give my experiences and in detail reports but now i’m getting used to it more i’m finding it easier. i’m working more on my own and when finding something i don’t understand i’m asking employees more experienced then me for advise and to explain things in more detail which is a great help

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • i found at the start i didn’t get to see my nvq assessor for months which really put me behind but now i have a new ones she’s really good and supportive and comes into work to see me and is always on the other end of the phone if i need some help. i’m finding it very good to get on with it now i have good support pushing me into the right direction

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • everyone at work is very supporting. it’s just hard finding the time to fit things in while i’m actually working. everyone’s good for advise and helping with witness statements and letting me watch for experience and learning. i have a nurse at work that’s mentoring me and giving me advise and things to write about when i get stuck. i’m just pushing for more small courses to help towards my nvq

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • i receive the support i need but because the work is mainly done at home i don’t need a lot of support. just advice when needed. if i ask anything i always get the answer i need or my manager prints things out for me to use towards my work. i always read things up and use the internet if i’m unsure of something if i’m not at work so having that there available is good aswell

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i feel like i’ll have a better understanding on policies and procedures and understand how to react in situations and to be more professional. i like learning new things and putting it into practice. i find that because i can read things and take notes it helps me to remember things better so then i can put it into practice in the future and if i’m not sure about something i can aslways ask my senior

  • 9a. Would you recommend Carecall to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • because i enjoy working here and have met some lovely people. all of the residents are lovely and it’s enjoyable when you get on with everyone at work. it’s nice to work somewhere aswell as have friends there. the hours are good aswell as it’s a full 12 hour shift and you get paid for the hole shift plus get allocated breaks. i really enjoy working at the care home so i would advise working here

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Carecall?
  • i would just enjoy it as everyday is different. some days are really good and some days are bad but every jobs like that. it’s very rewarding and enjoyable but can be stressful. i would work here but totally be yourself and you have fun while your here. it’s a good job and everyone gets on which is lovely. i would rather work in a care home then in the community as it’s easier
