Answering the phone, setting up computers and assisting my work colleagues with work. Going to site to sort issues if they can't be sorted remotely, or if new hardware needs to be installed onsite.
I have developed on my social skills i.e. talking to people on the phone and in person. I have also improved my knowledge on IT as a whole.
I enjoy learning new things and just going into work. The job exceeded my expectations as every day is different regarding issues to solve and the team I work with.
The induction and the start of the apprenticeship went very smoothly. Since COVID though things have gotten a little rough, however thats to be expected, however after discussing this, things are being resolved. Every other month I have a progress review so anything I need to bring up, I can do then.
I always have support from my work colleagues and employer. If there is something I'm stuggling with, someone is always there to help me, even if its not regarding the job.
As previously said, every other month I have a progress review. So anything I need to bring up I can do then. But any questions I can email over and they will be answered. So overall a lot of support.
Anything I come across at work that I don't understand, I can bring up and it will be explained, helping me in the long term at work since ill be able to then support clients with knowledge on the subject.
I have done one since I started, it was a team building excercise out of work, not remotely connected to IT, but a zombie experience. Learning how to work together as a team (when being chased by zombies). Overall it was a great day, improved how well we all work together.
Yes
Its a small company, but that means we are all pretty close and have a good laugh and get jobs done. There are a lot of jokes thrown around. But there things you can learn from each other, and I am always learning something whether it be IT related or just daily life related.
Be honest, as long as you are hard working and can have a laugh. You'd fit in fine here.
