I started as a mechanical Engineer and me and my work agreed I would benefit from being electrically trained too. I started Lincoln College doing an Electrical and Electronic level 3 course
I have learnt many new skills both at college and with in the company. They invest well in my future at the company.
I enjoy being a student at Lincoln College, I find the tutors knowledgeable and helpful and the course is challenging and informative
It seems well structured. Sometimes two similar subjects can come up in different lessons but at different times which can seem like I make a step back to basics on the subject sometimes. But it generally catches the knowledge up quickly and becomes useful.
Adequate. As a mechanical engineer first and training to be electrical it can sometimes be hard to get the time to complete the NVQ work I have to do in work time. But I put the extra work in at home so its not a big problem.
I receive the amount of support i require
The more skills I learn for the job the better. There is a lot of work for mechanical and electrical maintenance and its easy for the two disciplines to crossover sometimes
Maybe, but i dont do them
Yes
I you put the effort in to learn, and show that its worth it, then they invest in education. This may be the largest course they have put me on but they also put me on many smaller courses too.
Work hard, you get out what you put in.
