  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Delivering learning interventions for induction and managers, through 121 workshops and virtual classroom formats. Supporting wider team with insight and design content.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, many. Mainly L&F based around learning methodologies, analytics, evaluation and adult based learning studies. Designing training content has been the standout, definitely rounded my knowledge and allowed me to use these skills in my days to day.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It fits around me and my work. Yes, there are deadlines to work to, ultimately you can structure your week to ensure you have time set aside for learning and reflection. The support you get is also a great help, people on side to give advice and coach if you need it.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very. Each module is given around 3 months. That time includes research for the subject matter, time to draft your assignment and talk it through with colleagues to the final execution of the module.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Alot, my line manager is always on hand for support. Time is set aside each week that we manage individually to ensure we not only complete the modules, but have time to reflect on the learnings and update our learning journal and continuous learning plan.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We have webinars to kick start each module with a followup webinar before the draft deadline. Also my assigned support is abaibke on pjone, zoom and email for support.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Certainly gives me a deep and broader understanding of my role. Not only how I impact the team but how the team works within the wider organisation. I find the conversations I have with more senior members of the team I can now be a part of as I understand the terminology and can give an educated view point.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes. We have team meeting for the wider group every 6 months which is an excellent networking opportunity, I make sure that a call up on those connections.
