  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a Day to day basis my role changes from supporting test managers with creating and implementing test designs and scripts, to daily tasks such as apprenticeship training and lessons.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt and passed my software development fundamentals (1 of many courses) whilst learning more about the products and services provided within the team I reside (professional Services) with managers being very supportive of my learning and the qualification i am reviving.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The program is a brilliant opportunity with Vodafone supporting me every step of the way.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My program could be better structured as there was a mistake with placing me on the wrong training course which I had completed (not at Vodafones fault) however as i did complete the training the option has been given for me to take the exam and get the qualification other than that the programme has been well structured and supportive.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive with regular catch ups with my line manager to ensure I am happy and that everything is going well. If I need anything they are very supportive of ensuring I get what i need to pass my appreticeship.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider has been very supportive including extra sessions to assist with passing my exams as I struggle with exam technique.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Its gives me a better insight and helps me understand more technical knowledge about the reasoning behind processes. Although not specific to vodafone it provides great insight to what to expect and gives me the knowledge that i can apply to my job role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Until Covid there were many opportunities given to grads and apprentices all which were supported greatly by managers all at the expensive of vodafone. However vodafone still are doing what they can to provide social activites (via Skype and workplace) to keep everyone engaged and together.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Theres no other company that provides the same opportunities to young apprentices.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vodafone?
  • Do your best and be yourself. All your hard work WILL be recognized and praised.
