  • Working within the turbines department creating stress models and colating data

  • I’ve developed networking skills, as well as being able to create and manipulate CAD models

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy coming into work and working towards actual Rolls Royce projects, whilst also gaining knowledge as well as attending university

  • Very well organised, I’m always made aware of what needs to be done and when by my apprentice development leader

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot, especially over the COVID-19 period, always being kept in the loop and with constant support in the form of weekly calls to check up on any issues and mental health support

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We’re given plenty of opportunity to work on our university work when needed as well as Rolls Royce being in contact with university to follow up on feedback from the students

  • It is directly correlated to the work I carry out and helps to improve the quality of my work

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many sports teams and leasure teams to join, if there is a gap for a nee club you’re also able to set up your own club

  • Yes

  • I’ve enjoyed my time at Rolls Royce, being paid to do something I love


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Rolls-Royce?
  • Make sure you’ve read up on current projects and make a note of what you would like to get out of the apprenticeship
