  • daily tasks involve answering the phone to customers helping them with payroll queries and issues

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • since being on the apprenticeship i have been cross skilled so i have learned 2 different payroll products supporting irish and UK customers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • work can be quite stressful, however all the support thats needed is there. me and my team get on very well, the company culture is very positive, inspiring and makes you want to work hard to gain a permanent position

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • the training is very structured, studying time is structured, the college work and college side of things are quite confusing at times, sometimes it feels like the communication can be quite poor. but as far as Sage and there side its very structured and positive

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • my manager is very supportive, likewise with my coaches/mentors, if i ever need anything sorted they will find a way to help me out and relieve stress. support being an apprentice is easy to gain when needed.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • my training providers work hard and obviously have a lot of work to get through and mark but sometimes i feel as though the communication can be poor. the smart assessor is a very confusing site to deal with.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • in ways yes, as it helps me understand my organisation a lot more and the customers and products i support.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • there are loads of charitable events which we can get involved in throughout the year with Sage Foundation.

  • Yes

  • its a great organisation with massive aspirations, which looks after their colleagues


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage?
  • applications need to be honest, interviews ask questions, get involved, show you want the opportunity. i would have liked to have been told not to stress because there is not one single person with bad energy or intentions, when being interviewed you couldn't meet anyone more friendly than everyone you do
