  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • In some ways, I love my job. I enjoy the tasks I complete and the team I work. I enjoy being able to take pride in my work as well as being appreciated by my team members. It can be harder when trying to do the coursework tasks.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I believe that the work side of the apprenticeship is very well organised/structed in my team. Training was provided and my line manager has a lot of experience working with apprentices. The downfall is the coursework side which doesn't seem as structured or organised.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I believe I receive a lot of support from my line manager and the manpower HR team. I've had a lot of guidance with issues I've encountered and endless amounts of support offered. I don't hear as much from my coursework provider.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive monthly emails however it can be difficult to receive responses due to them having high workloads. There isn't as much support as there is with my work provider. However, when support is given, it is usually really helpful.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel as though I've learnt a lot about the company through research and how businesses generally work. This has helped me a lot understanding my job. There are quite a few tasks that have required me to research Unilever.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are multiple different events to take part in, for example in Summer they do sporting competitions (e.g. rounders, netball, etc.) They also do leaving drinks for anyone who leaves the company so everyone gets a chance to say goodbye. They also have a gym available for use.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It's a very friendly company that I never expected to find myself working at. I feel very proud of my job. I feel as though I've learnt a lot of new skills due to being at Unilever and have received great experience working here.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
  • To try! I never thought I'd actually receive the job here and I'm so happy I did. Use the interviewing process as an experience as a lot of companies ask for assessment centres. Make the most of all opportunities you are offered; Unilever is a great company to work for.
