  • My role is the management of a key distributor and the onbound customers this involes with the sale and relationship of Unilever products.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Lots, I have developed communication skills, financial accounting skills, excel skill, writing ability and data annalising abilities. I have learnt new skills in business managment and people managment.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme is very enticing, it reflects my day to day learning in role and has provided some skills new to the office, the course is very well managed with the other business apprentices and our joint learning.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well structured mirroring my day to day role, the modules studied add true value to not just Unilever but my future development.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have used internal stakeholders on projects for sound boarding, whether this is my line manager or the associated customer teams.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider especially Consalia offers frequent progress advice, face to face workshops pre Covid 19 and comments on how to develop personally and on scoring.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The training has offered new tools I use with customers and in role from pipeline managment to PESTLE tools. Also the essay subjects are relevant to work so these provide a benefit to progress.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are all the above, the company within our work team offers lots of events for building teams, but also customer facing events such as the FWD awards which hosted the directors of all major convenience businesses.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Unilever is obviously a huge business which offers advantages of prestige, work roles, networking opportunities and share schemes. But Unilever also has a local feel which allows for a team work environment and a sustainable agenda to build a better world.

  • KNOW THE PRINCIPLES OF THE COMPANY (USLP and what we stand for)!
