  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Working alongside the director, I had to sort invoices and log them accordingly. As well as, the statements, delivery notes and emails. I also did some design work for the website, creating banners and signs.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt to communicate loud and clear as a result of communicating with staff, suppliers and customers over the phone and in person. This has helped me to become a more confident person and has allowed me to become better overall.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed working with Qube Learning as they helped me complete tasks and were able to help me understand the apprenticeship and how to complete it to the best I could. I could not have asked for a better team to help me.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme was very organised and structured, as I knew what steps to take in order to complete the apprenticeship. This was because they helped break the programme down into certain tasks for me to complete at a time.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer gave me support throughout the programme, as they helped me to create ideas for the apprenticeship, such as the project. However, they did not allow me to do any apprenticeship work at the workplace, unless my tutor visited. All the work was done at home, making it more difficult.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training providers gave me endless support to achieve my qualifications. At times of difficulty, they gave me advice in order to do what was necessary and overall, really supported me from the beginning all the way until the end.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel as though the qualification gained has helped me to succeed in performing better at my job role and future job roles. This is because it has taught me many things, such as confidence and knowledge about administrative work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Extra events include meetings at a restaurant every few months. However, no other activities to get involved in.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Do it yourself Bradford to a friend?
  • No


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would not recommend Do It Yourself Bradford as they aren’t as professional as other companies out there, however, I would highly recommend Qube Learning and already have to a few friends.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Do it yourself Bradford?
  • To be both confident and friendly towards staff and customers. Also, to work at a pace they can handle, such as sorting out there work load.
